Uncharted guia platino parte 2

THQ deja de existir

  El dia de hoy THQ subastó sus propiedades intelectuales en seguimiento al caso de bancarrota capitulo 11 que habian iniciado en semanas pasadas. En un comunicado a sus empleados, Brian Farrell –CEO de THQ– anunció la finalización de las ventas de las IPs asi como el futuro de los empleados.
  Asi se repartieron las propiedades, Sega compro Relic (Company of Heroes), Koch Media (Deep Silver) se quedo con Volition (Saint's Row) y Metro, Crytek compro Homefront, Ubisoft se quedará con THQ Montreal y publicará South Park: The Stick of Truth, y Take Two se quedo con los derechos de in juego áun sin anunciar llamado Evolve. Lamentablemente, Vigil –creadores de Darksiders– no fueron incluidos en la subasta.
  THQ se mantendrá funcional durante las próximas semanas para terminar los arreglos necesarios para la transición, una vez terminado, cerrarán sus puertas.

CD Projekt Red, el estudio polaco detrás de la exitosa serie The Witcher, nos traerá próximamente Cyberpunk 2077. El juego está basado en Cyberpunk 2020, del creador Mike Pondsmith.

Cyberpunk 2077 nos muestra un futuro decrépito, en el que los avances en tecnología han ido en paralelo a una progresiva degradación de la sociedad. Los implantes y mejoras cibernéticos, que se inventaron para servir a la sociedad, en realidad multiplicaron los problemas, a veces causando caos en las calles. Los nuevos inventos generaron adicciones, y la pobreza aumentó, convirtiéndose en un problema aún mayor.

En Cyberpunk 2077, el jugador aparecerá en ese "futuro oscuro". La metrópolis de Night City (ubicada en los libros en California, entre San Francisco y Los Ángeles) será el escenario para contar la historia de un individuo, criado en las calles, que intenta sobresalir de la miseria y encontrar una forma de sobrevivir entre las bandas y las megacorporaciones, en una ciudad de suciedad y pecado.

Las drogas, la violencia, la pobreza y la exclusión no han desaparecido en 2077, ya que la gente ha seguido siendo como ha sido durante siglos: codiciosa, cerrada de mente y débil. Pero no solo los fantasmas del pasado causan problemas a la humanidad, sino que han aparecido otros nuevos. Los sicópatas realizan matanzas y las calles están llenas de yonkis adictos a una nueva forma de entretenmiento: la danza cerebral, una forma barata de experimentar las emociones y estímulos de otra persona que vive una vida más emocionante.

Las danzas cerebrales son grabaciones digitales de la experiencia de una persona. El vidente puede recibir una de ellas por "streaming" en su sistema nervioso, a través de implantes especiales del cerebro, llamados BD players. Las danzas cerebrales permiten al vidente experimentar todos los procesos cerebrales registrados, incluyendo emociones, movimientos musculares y todos los estímulos percibidos por la persona que graba."

La temática de estas grabaciones varia, desde danzas cerebrales sencillos hechos por megacorporaciones, que por ejemplo permiten al vidente sentir la experiencia de un explorar con sus aventuras, esfuerzos, olores, vistas, sonidos y la sensación real de curiosidad que empuja a los hombres a ir más allá del miedo y la debilidad física. Pero también hay otros lados más controvertidos de la danza cerebral, porque algunas grabaciones se crean ilegalmente. Entrar en la mente de un asesino en serie significa no solo ver las monstruosidades que hace, sino también vivir su ansia de matar y la satisfacción que le da.

¿No has experimentado la última grabación de New Hollywood? ¡No eres nadie! Las calles viven con las dances cerebrales, todo el mundo se ha vuelto loco y quiere formar parte de este nuevo entretenimiento. Alguna gente lo lleva tan lejos que no pueden parar de vivir las vidas de otra gente. Si no estás enlazado a una danza cerebral ahora mismo, probablemente estarás discutiendo qué te ocurrió durante tu última sesión. Por supuesto, como todo nuevo gran movimientos cultural nuevo, las danzas cerebrales tienen críticas".

Éste es el mundo de 2077. La diferencia entre arriba y abajo es mayor que nunca. Drogas, violencia, danza cerebral, psicópatas sueltos... ¿Serás capaz de ser funcional en esta difunta sociedad o acabarás siendo un yonki de la danza cerebral, sin nada, excluido como basura, viviendo la vida de otra persona y sin saber qué ocurre a tu alrededor? Te guste o no, esta es la edad de la decadencia braindance. Esto es Cyberpunk 2077.

Does a game that’s crammed with enough guns, action, terrorists, drugs, and miles of paradise for you to explore and make it into your personal playground sound enough to you? When people compare this game to a blockbuster hit and say that “It’s a modern day Sky Rim with guns” Does it make you raise an eyebrow and think to turn in your mythical +2 battle Axe for a Pump action shotgun? Well, then this might be your game. We will take a peek and see what makes this game tick and see if it goes BOOM! Welcome to Rook Island.

                              "Vacation fun for the whole family!"

Right from the beginning, the game takes a turn for the worse when a group of young adults go on a sky diving vacation trip end up being kidnapped by a group of heavily armed warlords who hunt outsiders for ransom. It’s up to you (Jason Brody), a mild mannered middle brother, to nut up and shut up then save the day. The characters that you meet along the way are pretty memorable and gives the story substance. From the beautiful and mysterious "Citra", to a maniac and out of his mind "Vaas" who makes Tony Montana look second rate.The first 10 minutes are heart pounding. The game sets you up beautifully until you are force fed a handful  of revenge, then has the nerve to catapult you into the insane, yet beautiful, Rook Island. One of the most interesting  aspects of the game is the attitude and change of the protagonist.  He starts out as a middle brother who can barely pull a trigger of a NERF gun then over time turns into a cold hardcore killer which can make John Rambo say “DAAAMNN”.

                     "DAAAMN Jason, why you got to be so mean!"

There are tons of things to do in this game. Far Cry 3 can keep a gamer busy for a long period of time by containing mini-games, trails,  big game hunts, assassination  quests, treasure hunts, poker games and herbal harvesting to craft special syringes. There are also 120 relics that you can discover across the map which gives an “Uncharted” feel to it.The graphics can keep your eyes glued to the screen due to light and textures created by Cryengine 3 (Crysis 2, Crysis 3)  At first the jungle will seem very unknown and dangerous which has the potential to swallow you whole. You can open various parts of the map by accessing the radio towers which unlock various items on your GPS, giving you in upper hand on your travels. Every vehicle on the island are accessible from land, air and water.

The map will also indicate enemy camps which can be eliminated stealthy and tactical or just go ape shit Rambo style. You get more XP if you dispatch every enemy without being seen/caught. Perks can be available to you once you accumulate enough XP to do some awesome finishers or survival tactics. 

Once you have some abilities/Perks at your disposal and some terrain under you GPS, it’s time to party. Now you can use the jungle to your advantage by scavenging its resources (Hunting/Harvesting) to create ammo/item packs and syringes which will turn the tides of this one man battle. A jungle that you feared and died from time to time is now a resource for your survival.

Far Cry 3 has two multiplayer modes which can add little bit more to the reply value.  The Co-op mode consists of 4 characters with their own personalities and goals, blasting through various levels in search for fortune that’s rightfully theirs. Their adventure happens months before the main story giving a brief back ground of the island. There a perks that you can select and load outs to unlock once you gain enough XP. This mode is fun when you are actually communicating between each other but the magic dies down after a few runs. It’s a good a good way to distract yourself from the main game. DLC for more co-op missions were recently announced which are exclusive to PS3 users. These should be released early this year. 

               "Real men don´t look back at explosions!!"

The actual multi-player has a few things which are new to the common FPS shooter. Once a match is over the top three players from the winning side present themselves beside the 1^st place player from the opposing team, all tied up and on his knees. You have the choice to execute him or free him. Kinda cool when you have that pestering nemesis that either camps the whole time or they are just god forsaken good!  But most of it has been done which gives it a mediocre feel. You kill, get points, gain perks, buy guns, die, mix, repeat.  I would not advise you to buy this game just for the multiplayer aspect. There are other games on the market for that. On that note, the multiplayer modes are fun, but look at them as extras. These are something to take a break from the main game and kill some extra time.

First Impression: The first 10 minutes leaves you in awe.  The graphics are excellent and the landscapes are beautiful. From sunsets to starry skies. The magic of Cryengine.

Control: The aim and movements are up to par. But when alot of objects are running all over the place it can cause some frame rate issues. I also noticed when you are in a vehicle when a NPC is  driving or in control, there can be some clipping issues, or you fall straight under the vehicle and cause you to die instantly. I hope this is patched soon.

Immersion: An involving story with memorable characters with miles and miles of land, guns, treasure, hunting, mini-games, races, multiplayer, and action. Once the first set of events unfold there is not a chance in hell im letting the controller go.There is lots to do in so little time.
